Individuality

PERMALINK • Tuesday, 13 March 2012

How much of an individual are you to live a life in the footsteps of another, in the shadows of somebody else, in his wake? How much of an individual are you if you allow the trivial things to turn your life upside down, to take the navigating wheel and drive you insane?

Individuality does not hinge on the things you do that are unique to you and only you. Are you going to chop off your nose because everybody else has one? Are you going to live in isolation because friends are overrated? Individuality is how you think, how much you feel for or against something, what you do well and how well you do, what you cannot do and how badly you do it. Individuality is about being comfortable in your own skin, to have security about yourself.

Ask yourself if the thief broke in or if the door was left open for him instead.
